Ritual de una (Anti) catarsis

Ritual of an (anti) catharsis, is a self-referential piece by the dancer and choreographer, Estefania Dondi, elaborated in the course of 2021 following her participation in Ritual 0.01, residence of artistic production. Ritual 0.01 united curatorial practices with the performing arts through the collaboration between Erika Martin and the performers: Ana María Moreno, Susana Vargas, Estefania Dondi, Laura Murillo and Adrián Arriaga.

The residence tried to replace the notion or search by creating a finished work, by works in action (in a state of fluxus), scenic laboratories, bodies of work in development or moving pieces. In turn, he operated as a meeting point for stage creation based on self-management as a collective tool and proposed the development of a single performative with ritual as the central axis of curatorial research and starting point for him and the residentas. Over the course of 8 months, residents created, researched and explored from the movement, and played with the boundaries between dance and performance, without the pressure or the duty to introduce yourself to an unknown audience.

Temporada Lab Ritual 0.01, picks up and reconstructs the scenic pieces that this residence incubated, enabling satis.FACTORY as a scenic space for 5 weeks, in the months of July and November. Each micro season seeks to open up to the public and give continuity to the work of the residents of Ritual 0.01 (2021), with the interest of strengthening the vitality of the stage performances developed during this time.

In the course of 2021 Estefania Dondi explored the limits of the psyche through a body that moves in slow motion, this performance called it Ritual of an (anti) catharsis. On this occasion, the performance maintains its intrinsic personal quality, is born, exists and is transformed based on biographical facts of the life of Dondi. Based on patterns of movement and dependent on improvisation, the piece you will see tonight is not the same as 10 months ago, nor will it be seen tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, or in a year. However during the next 3 days Dondi proposes us: 

... the evolution of a silent catharsis ...  words and unspoken actions come out, the body of silence is transformed and given over to the sweet pleasure of your senses.
